Who we are

Having spent three decades in international recruitment firms, Vikki, Steve & Ben joined forces in October 2017. Grateful for the training, career development and incredible experiences those businesses offered us, we were ready to “go it alone”.

The three of us are incredibly different but bring something new & exciting to the partnership. We set about building a company that was agile, entrepreneurial and disruptive. This was when Ignata Finance was born.

Our strategy

We have a strategic plan at Ignata Finance. It is called "doing things really, really well". We think like our customers and we care about our candidates in equal measure. We are always available (much to our families frustration) and when we are not executing on this promise, we are knee deep in data & insight; collecting, analysing, sharing and delivering off the back of it.

We wouldn’t be Ignata Finance if we weren’t dreamers as well though and we are addicted to innovation, learning & consistently challenging the status-quo.

Our business was built by, and is run by, entrepreneurs, so:

Ben Searls


What to say! Well, first & foremost, I’m a proud father of Spencer & Marnie and overly reliant on Mrs S who is not only a prized possession at home but at work too. We’ve worked together for 16 years and never stop! I founded this business in order to find a more agile, creative and authentic way to run a recruitment business. I love every sport possible, am incredibly average at golf (but addicted to it) and my friends pull my leg about being a half-decent flutist!


Vikki Searls


Contrary to what you would expect from someone working in sales I struggle to talk about myself. I am a mother to Marnie and Spencer and a wife and business partner to Ben. I was born in the southern hemisphere so am known for loving a holiday in the sun and quite regularly get called “Judith” (only people familiar with the programme “wish you were here” would understand that one). I feel proud and humbled that in a short time Ben, Steve and I have been able to turn Ignata Finance into the kind of business we can be so proud of, working with some amazing clients and candidates and having an approach whereby they can truly rely and trust us. I am true to the fashion degree I undertook and love fashion, interiors and shopping. I am also a keen cyclist and foodie.


Steve Revill


My 16 years in recruitment have flown past but none more so than the last three since we started Ignata Finance. I’m incredibly proud of what we have built since firing up the laptops in Ben and Vikki’s kitchen and I absolutely love working with the best bunch of recruiters I have ever seen in the same room together. Outside of work I am a wildly inconsistent golfer, an unnecessarily maverick cook and an injury prone 5-a-side footballer- all of which make me incredibly popular at home with my wife Louisa and children, Maia and James.


George Smith

Search Consultant - Consumer Practice

A proud Shropshire lad now based in the almost as lovely county of Sussex. Outside of work I am an avid 5-a-side footballer, aspiring chef and mediocre pianist living with my girlfriend Joanna who, thankfully, puts up with my LinkedIn addiction!


Sam Trenwith


I joined Ignata back in July 2019 after working with Steve back at Michael Page to broaden my horizons and wow, it certainly has done just that! I specialise in transactional & PQ recruitment across Sussex, Surrey & London and pride myself on my work. I live in Brighton with my long-suffering girlfriend who allows me to indulge in my newfound passion for golf. Outside of the office I am obsessed with anything to do with motorsport, taking part or watching (more the latter)!


Oliver Swift

Associate Director

Leading our Private Equity - Finance leadership practice, Oli partners with Investment Directors and CFO’s to support organisations through their Investment life-cycle.

A true lover of the outdoors, lucky enough to grow up in the Garden of England and enjoy all of the benefits of the countryside. Oli’s passion for golf goes unrivalled, much to the dismay of his partner. Finding Oli on his local course is more than common place of a weekend, with the unfathomable expectation to shoot PGA tour scores. According to Oli’s partner he has two loves in his life, Golf and Skiing, so with golf covering majority of the summer, the winter months you will certainly find Oli dreaming of a week or five touring Europe’s finest Winter resorts.


Jake Aston

Recruitment Consultant

Having recently joined Ignata, I have a background in Trades and Labour recruitment. Now I’m working alongside Sam on PQ and transactional finance across London, Sussex and Surrey. In my spare time you can find me hopelessly trying to be the next Quentin Tarantino, injuring myself on a football field or enjoying a pint (or two) with friends!
